A self-taught guitarist, Gavin has been playing the guitar and took to singing since his teenage years.

In 2013, he took part in Mediacorp Channel U’s reality show Hey Gorgeous! and emerged as one of the Top 12 finalists. Gavin released his first single 我懂了 in 2014 and has performed at various events such as the 19^thSingapore Hit Awards. He was invited as a guest performer at Roy Li Fei Hui’s, a Singapore-based veteran singer/songwriter, concert in 2015.

Gavin does song covers in English, Mandarin and Korean on his social media platforms. In 2016, he did a Korean song cover Banmal Song in collaboration with fellow Singaporean actress and singer, Bonnie Loo.

Gavin has also acted in several Chinese dramas such as My Secret App(2015) and Crescendo(2015). In 2016, he co-hosted the variety show Chef on Wheels with celebrity host, Pornsak.
